It covers each of the primary areas with enough detail to give our new students a very good idea of what to expect in each of the specialty courses that follow without overwhelming them with all of the scientific evidence we use in the specific courses to further investigate each topic.

This is a terrific textbook that is fresh, up-to-date, and easy to read! An excellent resource for students enrolling in our Health and Kinesiology Department. It is a pleasure to be able to provide my students with a book that provides a solid foundation within the field of kinesiology without being too detailed. It is well organized and beautifully designed with excellent illustrations - a phenomenal teaching tool I wish I had found much sooner!

I REALLY enjoyed my first semester using your textbook last fall. The students enjoyed the book and were sufficiently challenged, probably more than they wanted to be. I like the fact that the textbook capably encompasses the major sub-disciplines within the field of kinesiology without being too detailed. The student workbook provides students with hands-on activities which help bolster their knowledge they garner from the text. Through the use of the course materials provided I feel confident that I am meeting my goal, which is to successfully prepare my students for their upper division course work. It is apparent by the end of the semester; students are excited and motivated to continue on their pursuit of their chosen profession – kinesiology. Thank you.
